The first game of the season saw a strong Rams XI take on the might of Frocester in the April Sunshine. The Rams team was: W.Tyler, Hopkins, R.Cartlidge, Hore, Beale, White, M.Belbin, Spence, Hancox, Boucher & S.Williams.

RCC won the toss and elected to bat first:
Rockhampton - 144-9 from their 40 overs
Jeremy White - 56
Mark Beale - 33
Will Tyler - 11

Frocester - 145-5 from 36.1 overs:
Will Tyler - 8-3-25-2
Jack Spence - 8-3-16-1
Mark Beale - 4-0-33-1

Frocester winning by 5 wkts with nearly 4 overs remaining, they were at one stage 57-5 but a good partnership between Bray & Evans saw them home quite comfortably. Nevertheless, a good start by the Rams and definately something to build on.
